Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP)

While extremely rare, vaccines can cause serious permanent injuries (and even death) in a small percentage of the population. Thanks to the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), a no-fault program established in the 1980s, financial recourse is available to people of all ages who have suffered a severe vaccine reaction.

Unlike traditional litigation, compensation under the VICP program can be achieved without lengthy hearings or trials. After a lawsuit is filed in the United States Court of Federal Claims against the Department of Health & Human Services, a court-appointed special master decides whether money (and how much) should be awarded.

To date, this program has awarded more than $5 BILLION to approximately 10,000 people! Even so, there are still BILLIONS of dollars of future payouts that are stored in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Trust Fund – money that comes from a 75-cent tax on every administered vaccine.
